Lugs To Lightweights – Episode 2

Episode 2 will be short and sweet – partly because I’m on holiday typing this from my iPad whilst Wendy is in the shower, partly because it just doesn’t need to be long.

Look at this:

Just one of many reasons I’ve spent the last couple of weeks lusting over Pegorettis.

Regardless of material, I think I’ve made my mind up – they feel the most ‘special’. Like, PROPERLY special.

Lush.

That’s a beaut for sure!I went through the same process a few years ago, settled on Pegoretti and I’ve been enjoying my Marcelo for nearly 4 years now, don’t feel the need to change. Maybe it is a bit harsh after 8+ hours in the saddle and maybe a Duende would’ve offered a slightly more compliant ride but I’m not really complaining and certainly not looking to change. The paint does seem a bit fragile – prone to chipping and waering a bit thin where my lazy leg catches the top tube and heel on chainstay when I’m tired. If I had more money it’d would’ve been a Big Leg Emma.Happy shopping ;-)

John – Thanks for your comments, really good to hear from a current happy customer (paint concerns aside, but hey, Ferraris aren’t perfect either!). May it offer you many more happy miles in future and maybe we’ll hook up and compare notes once mine is done?!Si – This goes far deeper than just looks buddy. A Pegoretti is a very special machine.Bobster – exactamundo!
